Mountain Charm by Sydney Logan

Mountain Charm

“True love and sweet whispers, till death do us part;
Send someone to love my Appalachian heart.”

At the age of thirteen, Angelina Clark followed in the footsteps of her ancestors by casting an Appalachian love spell, which promised she would find her true love. A young Angelina had been thrilled to participate in the ritual, but through the years, her father’s untimely death and her mother’s illness have shaken Angelina’s magical faith to its core. Now, as her twenty-first birthday approaches, she refuses to practice her supernatural gifts and no longer believes in the love charm.

That is, until Dylan Thomas arrives on her front porch.

Dylan, a Nashville writer, travels to the mountain town of Maple Ridge to unearth the family’s supernatural secrets. While her clairvoyant mother is convinced that Dylan is her daughter’s soul mate, Angelina refuses to see the nosy reporter as anything more than a nuisance.

The two grow closer just as her mother’s health takes a turn for the worse. Faced with mounting medical bills, Angelina is faced with selling the family’s music shop to make ends meet. Desperate to help the woman he loves, Dylan explores his own family tree and finds support from an unlikely source.

Can Dylan prove his love is real—spell or no spell?

This is literally one of the sweetest little love stories I have ever read. It reminds me so much of growing up in my small mountain home town. I love how Sydney can capture all the details in small town living. She really gets it SPOT ON. This story reminded me so much of my family and the stories passed down, it was as if I was reading a family story. I really enjoyed this so much that I'd love to see a second book. No spoilers of course but I want to know more about their family and their gifts.

Angelina Clark is such a confused little soul. She like most gals wants that happily ever after but her emotions are in such turmoil with her heritage and just not knowing.

Dylan Thomas had NO CLUE what he got himself into stepping into that town. At first I just kept thinking he is the clique book boyfriend. By the end of the book he is so much more. He is PERFECT. He is so sweet, caring, understanding, and definitely a dream come true.

I can see why Angelina is so reluctant, when Dylan comes to town, I would be too. I found that their relationship unlike a lot of book relationships actually progressed at a decent pace. It's relatatable. I like that I can actual picture myself in that persons shoes. I love the many ways their relationship develops. It's truly the sweetest of love stories.

Another great thing about this story is it isn't "predictable". I would think oh i know where this is going. NOPE . Sydney would surprise me with a twist or turn. I love that it kept me guessing. Will she? Wont she? What will he do? How will they handle that? etc..

I would like to now take the time to BEG , lol, I'm not too proud for a second book in this series. I am so curious about the rest of Angelina's family and their heritage. Just throwing THAT out there. Thanks Sydney for ANOTHER great read.

St. Ives Body Wash, Lotion, and Facial Scrub Product Review

I received these products FREE for my honest and unbiased review. Did I mention they were FREE? So lets start. I LOVE Influenster. They are one of my favorite sample sites. I was STOKED (yeah i said it) to get these products. In this "HOLIDAY VOXBOX" I received the St. Ives Oatmeal Scrub, St. Ives Even and Bright body wash, and the St. Ives Pear and Soy hand/body lotion. All for full bottle samples. I'm gonna break my review up into 3 sections so I can tell you about all 3 individual products.

St. Ives Pear and Soy Hand/Body Lotion:

This stuff smells AMAZING. You can smell the sweet pear smell immediately. It's just right not overly intense. The lotion is not thick or thin, it's again, just right. It so soft and silky. It's not greasy and goes on easily. It has a pump application which is super easy and not messy. The lotion is made with 100% natural moisturizers (great huh?) I'm a huge advocate for "natural" products. Me and my baby (ok TODDLER, she'll always be my baby) use this every night after bath. It does great on her sensitive skin.

St. Ives Even and Bright Body Wash:

If this was a food I'd totally eat it. ( YOU SHOULD NOT EAT IT)  It smells like I could GOBBLE it all up. I was shocked that it smelled so good. The minute I opened the bottle in the shower the steam mixed with the scent was literally like walking through a fruit garden. I want to LIVE in that garden. i want to be BFF"S with that garden. So you get my drift. It smells more amazing than the lotion. Its the perfect blend of Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange. It has those little cleaning beads that make you feel all exfoliated and clean. They are also 100% natural exfoliants. I like that clean feeling. It leaves that soft fruity scent on your body so even after you get all clean and dry off you still want nothing more than to SNIFF yourself... Well I did =) .

St. Ives Oatmeal Scrub and Mask:

I have facial eczema. It's EMBARRASSING. After 1 use... 1 USE... I noticed a huge difference. The redness was gone. The itchiness, was gone. The dryness, was GONE. This is my new go to facial scrub. I love it. It done wonders for my face. It doesn't feel so dry and harsh anymore. You can also use this scrub as a mask. just leave it on for a bit and then wash off as normal. That's 2 products in 1.. for the price of 1. It has the all natural exfoliants as well.

These products are so great they have made me go to St. Ives for all my skincare needs before looking at other brands. They are also very very affordable. I have used St. Ives products for a few years now and these are the best YET !
