Author Info
When J.M. isn't working her Monday-Friday 9-5 job, she's spending her time reading, writing and with the love of her life.
She's an all around Canadian girl. Born and raised in a small city.
If you don't see J.M. writing, you'll find her with her nose in a book. Whether it's her words or someone else's, she's drawn to it.
J.M. loves stories with Alpha broken males and that need to be ripped apart and put back together again. Men that fall to their knees over a wink or a giggle from their females.
Two things you will never find J.M. without; her cell phone and lip gloss. If she has both of those items, you have a happy girl.
Since starting her writing adventure in 2013, J.M. has met many people, real life, online, in her head and she loves every single one of them. Without the support from others, none of this would be possible and she's grateful for all that has been given to her
Author Interview
1. What inspired you to write your first book?
Actually, it was more of who inspired me. My aunt, several months ago suggested it since she knows I love to read. I told her that I had no stories that were my own. She told me to be patient. Well I was. I forgot about it and then last year when I was on vacation with the family, I was like, I want to write. Well Break Me was born and I’ve been writing ever since.
2. Is there a message in your books that you want readers to grasp?
In my Torn trilogy, my message that I’m trying to get across is to always love that person deep. Hard. I believe in love at first site and although some don’t like stories with quick “I love yous”, for my characters, it worked. If no one liked the books at all, as long as they got the message that I believe there is someone
out there for everyone. Someone for you to love hard and deep. Fully and unconditionally. I’m not a sappy romance woman but I do love to be swooned and swept off my feet every now and again. And my hubby sure knows how to do that.
3. How much of the book is realistic?

3. How much of the book is realistic?
I think the love that Brett has for Evvie in my Torn trilogy was based off of my hubby. I just write and go with the flow but I find that a lot of my Alphas characteristics, I see in my husband so I must be subconsciously writing about him.
4. Are you currently reading a book?
4. Are you currently reading a book?
If so what book are you reading now? I AM! If you love dark reads...I’m reading Madeleine Abducted by M.S. Willis. It’s the second book to her Estate series and wow. These books blow me away.
5. Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
Well I just started reading LilyWhite/M.S. Willis’ work and I am in love. The first book of hers that I read was the one she co-wrote with Dawn Robertson, The Good Girl. I’ve been hooked since. Also, I just finished Harper Sloan’s Corps Security Series. All caught up and waiting now for Locke. I love Sway and all of the characters. So talented these ladies are.
6. What are your current projects?
Oh my gosh. What am I not writing? Lets see. I have See Me (Shattered, #4), One: which will be a short story featured in an erotic anthology, um...what else? Oh I’m venturing into the dark realm but it will be awhile before this story is released. I have way more on the go that need to be out first. Then there is Stone (Brothers, #1) which is a military/Seals romance series. And a couple more that are untitled.
7. Can you share a little of your current work with us?
What I’m writing right now? Like right at this very moment before I started answering these questions? No. I can’t. You’ll thank me later. #anticpation
8. Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
I have many favorite authors and I have many authors who inspire me even if I have never read their work. But my favorite paranormal romance author is, J.R. Ward. Her eye for detail is amazing and she sure knows how to write an alpha male.
9. What books have most influenced your life?
I’m honestly not sure. I really don’t know how to answer this. I guess one that comes to mind, is the Bible. Now I am in no way a Bible thumper. I go to church as often as I can. I have not read the Bible front to back, cover to cover, so I am in no shape to preach to anyone. The reason I chose this particular book is because every time I read something from it, whether it be a chapter or one sentence, I feel inspired. Influenced. Happy. Whole. Whatever word you want to use.
10. What was the hardest part of writing?
Not writing. Lol! Seriously though. The hardest part I’d have to say and I’m still struggling with this, is detail and making sure I don’t use the same words over and over again. I had a problem with my hero calling his girl a pet name way too many times.I think it was at 150 uses by the time I was done the 70k novel. Some people pointed it out in reviews and I used their advice and got rid of most in the second book. That was my bad. But now when I re-read it, it bothers me. Lol!

C.S. Lewis
